The client’s computer production line had been using Italian NMRV worm gear reducers. While these had no issues, they did not achieve the economic benefits the laptop manufacturer desired. While NMRV worm gear reducers offer a higher transmission ratio than standard gear reducers, they also have lower transmission efficiency and are more expensive than comparable gear reducers. Conventional V-belts drive the motor and worm gear reducer, offering advantages such as a simple structure, smooth transmission, no lubrication requirements, and vibration damping. However, slippage and sliding are unavoidable.

Our company’s KKM helical hypoid gear reducer, model KKM090, has the same installation dimensions as the customer’s previous NMRVO90 reducer. Replacing the NMRV090 reducer with a KKM090, the transmission equipment on the laptop computer assembly line, addressed the previous issues of low production efficiency and low output per unit time, improving productivity and economic benefits. This design’s transmission system is highly reliable and durable, and is easy to install and disassemble, offering exceptional practical value.

This batch of production lines has been in operation at a laptop manufacturer for six months without any problems. Even more delightful is that these TKM reducers are all maintenance-free. Once installed, they require no further maintenance. This has greatly satisfied our customer, who plans to replace all NMRV reducers on other production lines at other plants with our TKM reducers next year.
